Sant Samprada - What is Sampardaaye

WHAT ARE THE SAMPRADA’S?
Samprada’s may be thought of as ‘succession’ lines that were started by Guru Gobind Singh Ji so that subsequent Sikh generations would not be confused in the matters of the Rehat and understanding of Gurbani, etc. Unfortunately, most Sikhs outside of India are totally unaware of these Samprada’s.

Samprada History :
This Samprada is known as  Nirmal Samprada. and the Saint’s of this samprada is known as Nirmale( Nirmala’s). The Tenth Guru of Sikhs, Sahib Shri Guru Gobind Singh Jee blessed us with the baptism ceremony Khande – Ki – Pahul. It is widely known as AMRIT, on 13th of April (i.e. 1 Vaisakh) 1699. This was the time at which Guru ji asked a gathering of thousands of Sikhs to sacrifice their heads.
Out of thousands, only 5 Sikhs stood to sacrifice their heads :
  • Bhai Daya Singh ji
  • Bhai Dharam Singh ji
  • Bhai Himmat Singh ji
  • Bhai Mohkam Singh ji
  • Bhai Sahib Singh ji
These five are  ‘Panj Pyaare’ or ‘5 beloved ones’. Guru ji blessed them with the pahul ceremony. Guru ji told the sikh gathering that the mission that was initiated by Guru Nanak Dev ji about Seva (self-less service) and Simran (remembrance of God) will be pursued by Khalsa. Simran will be attained by singing sacred hymns with the help of instruments, meditation and reading daily routine prayers i.e. Nitnem, Ardaas ( Gurbani ). Seva will be attained by doing daily chores of Gurdwara Sahib i.e. serving Langar and washing dishes, polishing and cleaning shoes of Sangat and by the cleaning floor.

Guru Gobind Singh Jee was very proud of Bhai Daya Singh Ji for being the first Sikh to sacrifice his head to the Guru. Guru Gobind Singh Jee rewarded Bhai ji with a holy prediction, that one day there will be an institution named after Bhai ji’s name. That institution’s successors of the lineage(samprada) leadership will be wise divine men practicing excess meditation, who will be detached materialistic possessions and will live up to the word of the Guru – Gurbani. These Divine men will play a vital role in serving their community and country in many perspectives and in future this institution will be glorified in the whole world for the great men who have served within it.
The successors of this lineage upon receiving the leadership title have never stayed in one place and as the leadership is passed down. They are constantly on the move,  spreading Guru Nanak Dev Ji’s philosophy and Guru Gobind Singh Ji’s Hukam (order) to the worldwide Sikh Sangat.
